Q: What all is included in the registration fee?
A: Each player receives 12 scheduled games (10 for TeeBall), team uniform to include jersey/hat, End of Season Tournament (Coach Pitch and up) and a free membership to Cover All Bases in Arlington.
Q: What Day/Times/Place are the team practices?
A: Practice dates, times and locations are entire up to each individual team coach. Once registration is closed and your child is placed on a team, the Head Coach will schedule practices for the season. These are generally 1-2 days per week and usually on a weeknight. Coaches will often times choose to rent a practice field from the city at Cravens, or another city park.
Q: I cant afford the full registration all at once, but my child really wants to play. What can I do?
A: Southeast Arlington Little League offers payment plans for registration. We ask that an initial credit/debit card payment of $75 be made online to get the child(ren) registered. The balance can then be split into equal payments of 1 per month up to March depending. SEALL also offers families the eligibility to participate in our Sponsorship Facilitator Program. More details can be found on the sponsorship page. SEALL's goal is to allow every child the opportunity to play the great game of baseball, if other arrangements need to be made please reach out to us via email or phone to discuss options.
Q: What equipment does my child need?
A: Each player will need at least a baseball glove. Each coach is supplied with 2 batting helmets and 1 bat for team use. Many parents elect to purchase their child their own helmet and bat though. All boys 9 and older are REQUIRED to wear an athletic protector (cup). This is not only a Little League rule, but a huge safety issue. Male players are not allowed to practice or participate in kid pitch divisions without proper safety equipment.
Q: I want to help out on the field, what do i need to do?
A: All adults wishing to help on the field or in the dugout are welcome to do so, after they have become approved volunteers. Background checks are mandatory for all persons over the age of 18 that will be on the field around children. To become a volunteer, login to your SEALL account sign up for the role you wish to participate in and complete the volunteer background check information.
Q: What is All-Stars and how does it work?
A: Each Spring SEALL participates in the Little League International Tournament aka All Stars. This is a post season team that is formed of players for all of the teams in their respective divisions. This tournament is only open to kid pitch divisions and sometimes coach pitch (entering a different tournament). During the season, umpires and head coaches are asked to nominate players from the entire division based on competitive drive and excelled skill level. These nominees then tryout to make a team of 12-13 players in their division. If selected, there is a small fee of $100 to cover the all star uniform and tournament entry fees.
Q: Can I bring an entire team over to register to play?
A: No. We do not allow entire teams to enter our league intact. We follow all Little League rules as set forth in the Rule book. You can however, bring your team as individual and enter in to the draft in the hopes that you are able to draft as many players as possible.
Q: How much do the Coaches and Board Members get paid?
A: Coaches, Board Members, Concession Stand Workers and Players all get paid the same...nothing. SEALL is 100% volunteer based. We don't have any salaries and all Coaches and Board Members pay the same amount to register their children to play as everyone else.
Q: What is included in the Cover All Bases Membership that was included in my registration?
A: All SEALL registrants will receive a FREE monthly membership as long as they play with SEALL, a $42/mo value, to include: 2-Batting Cage Tokens Daily, 15% Off Any Lesson booked with their Pro Coaches, 5% Any Pro Shop Merch and 20% off of all CAB Camps.
